For the EMPEROR!!
"The Map that Changed the World", by Simon Winchester.

.. and "Gears of War: Jacinto's Remnant", by Karin Traviss.

Currently reading a historical fiction novel called "Mushashi" about the famous samurai who wrote the Book of the Five Rings. Really good so far.

Robinson Crusoe, by Daniel Defoe, when I was 11 years old. I think that was the last novel I read. Since then, it's been nothing but history, biographies and auto-biographies.

I must admit I'm surprised you read anything after finding out about spot and his ball...

Les Borgias by Alexandre Dumas.
Didn't like it, more like a history book than anything.

Im in the middle of House of Leaves. It was suggested by a friend by saying "you don't read House of Leaves... it just happens to you.
It's so true. This book has had me unable to sleep some nights because I think something's gonna come get me. It's not a scary story, it just fucks with your perception to life. It's fucking amazing.

Terry Pratchett - Unseen Academicals

You're a little behind then. TP is the only author that I buy the hardback as soon as it is released, Snuff being the latest.

I am currently reading "Ender's Shadow" the first in the Shadow series by Orson Scott Card and the follow on series to the Ender's Game series (it takes place at the same time as Ender Game, but from a different viewpoint). I have just re-read all of the Ender books - Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind.
I read Frankenstein earlier this year, forcing myself to complete this "classic". My God! it was boring....

I apologize. I have read a novel recently... well, three or four years ago. Losing Julia It is an excellent book.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
11/22/63 by Stephen King.

I like the premise, but the ending is a little underwhelming. Still highly recommended.

Spencerville Nelson DeMille

Just finished "The Tin Drum by Gunter Grass". Now I'm reading "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche.
