Yes but if you hear her singing the same song wherever you go, on the radio in the street coming from cars, shops etc. Its going to start to grate after a while.

I'm generalising here but I'm a big big fan of the Foos, from the very first roots and it bugs the crap out of me that the local stations get a glimpse of the more radio friendly stuff (which I don't mind but much prefer the heavier stuff) and then they strap it to their decks and flog the guts out of it - end result? When I get round to buying the album I'm already sick to death of the most popular tunes on it! GRrrrrr

Jose's version is almost as good as Massive Attacks. Newton is annoying, he barely does anything to change it, just the original but with an acoustic guitar. Jose goes out of his way to give it his own sound, I love it.

Jose's voice seems a little dull after a while. There's not enough dynamic variety. I prefer the stuff he's done with Zero 7, personally. Newton's vocals are a lot more ******** than any other version I've heard of it, which is why I enjoy it -- it has a hopeful mood to it, whereas Jose's is melancholy.

Massive ******'s version is better than both, a Mona Lisa masterpiece, hopeful and forlorn all at once.
