What should I buy my wife for Christmas?

Well, I'll throw my two cents' worth in and go against the obvious current of hormones on this Board:

1) If you know how to cook (and I mean really COOK, not boil friggin' water!) fix her a special surprise breakfast in bed on Christmas morning. Go all out, man. Fix her favorite food, do all the special little things, one long-stemmed red rose, etc.

2) Make it be all about her. Pamper her. Take her to her favorite hair salon, then a day spa where she can have a facial, massage, manicure, and pedicure.

3) Take her shopping; go to her favorite clothing boutiques. Listen to what she says while she shops. Pay attention to how she reacts to certain outfits and lingerie. Watch her body language as she browses and looks through the clothes. You'll be surprised at how much body language a woman uses when she shops for clothes.

4) Go to a jewelry store. Browse through the shop and watch (again) her as she looks at the different pieces of jewelry. Pay attention to the things that she lingers over. See #3.

5) Be thoughtful. Be imaginative. Be sincere. Be loving. It's not hard.

6) If you're a romantic, do romantic things:

a) a picnic in a secluded park or at the beach;
b) A hot -air balloon ride;
c) rose petals in her bath with her favorite artist or group on the c.d. player and acouple of candles by the bathtub;
d) if she likes wine, buy her a bottle of her favorite wine and chill it for that special moment.

Above all else, just be yourself. Treat her with the respect, love, and devotion she deserves. She'll appreciate that more than anything else.

Good luck, man.

He's in Northern Ireland, pinktaco. According to the BBC Weather Center, temperatures are chilly to mild. You might want to check your facts.... some people DO like cold/cool weather. Which, by the way, I take it that you've never gone for a horse-driven sleigh ride in the snow with your significant other... or taken a walk in the crisp mountain air on a sunny winter's morning? Pity. It can be very romantic. You should try it sometime.

Thanks for the link, u gave me the forecast for today's weather, too bad today isnt christmas, but i did some reasearch on the average temperate of northern ireland, and i guess thats truly good time to go picnicing or ballooning for you, but some people dont like the idea of getting frost bite (i guesss it has something to do with the possibility of losing fingers. toes, etc..) And no I never took my significant horse-drive sleigh ride, but I'm sure when you did, you were probably well-clothed, and probably had some nice covers for you on the ride for additional protection for warmth. Also I never took my significant other for a hike through the mountains, but I think there is somewhat of a difference of what you suggested, when you are walking you are active, but if you just sit down or just stand up in a balloon basket remaining inactive I'm sure you are going to get pretty cold. Here's an experiment you could try @ home when the temp reaches below 55F, sit down for 30 mins, go inside to warm up, and then go back outside and walk around for 30mins then go inside, then tell me @ what time when you went outside you felt warmer, I could pretty much bet that it would be when you went out the second time. Hey, if this guy is sure that his wife like its cold, and doesnt mind staying inactive outside for 30 mins + in below 55f weather, then he should go ahead with your plans, but if he is wrong, he is sure is gonna pay for it later. :2 cents:
