What R U cutting back to U. S. Economy??

We are all aware the US Economy is tanking. When it will improve is anybody's guess. Curious to find out where people have cut or will reduce personal spending to deal with every day essentials such as shelter, food/clothing and health. Please share at least two areas...I will start.

1. No car, therefore no parking fees, no insurance premiums, no maintenance and of course, no $4.50+ gallon of petro. Living in a city with good pub trans and only 48 square miles make this an easier decision.

2. No more cable TV fees. Spending more time outdoors and less time watching the tube and paying what I consider a "non essential" gotta have.

3. ******** coffee and ***** at home rather than Starbucking or bar hopping. Big savings in this area alone!

4. Just having simple mobile phone service. No I-Pod, MP3 player, wireless intenet connection or blackberry. And don't buy CD's or DVD's.

Most of all though is I have been credit card debt free for almost 5 years as I pay them off monthly and are credit card company's worse customer!

Of course everyone's personal needs are different and need a car for instance due to their job, or have ******** or taking care of an elderly or sick parent. However I have learned the hard way (filed bankrupcy 16 yrs. ago) and currently divorce with ***** support of $1000/month(9 months to go) This has ****** me to take the above steps to improve my financials and cope with the current economic crises.
