What movie should/ shouldn't have/had a sequel?

The Fly 2 -should've flown off with the idea.

I cannot remember any movie the sequel of which is at least the same quality or even better than the original one. But it might be only a momentary lapse of my memory...

Empire Strikes Back was way better then then Star Wars. My list of movies that were an abomination and just proves that hollywood will make anything for a buck......

My three favorite movies all had crappy sequels:

Good: Blues Brothers
Bad: Blues Brothers 2000 (just a cheap imitation, and worthless with John Belushi) :fight:

Good: Airplane
Bad: Airplane 2 (the Space Shuttle? WTF) :crash:

Good: Slap Shot
Bad: Slap Shot 2: Breaking the Ice (it was straight to video, and starred Stephen frickin Baldwin, UGH!) :ban:

Those are some good ideas. Total Recall was a really great movie. They probably could have made a sequel from it somehow, but maybe it's best left alone by now.

Terminator 3 was a total let down. It didn't use the concepts of the movie or take it in any different direction. It just stupidly continued the story as expected. If they're ever gonna make T4 they need a new director and writer. And even take it to the past again.

AvP should have never been ****** with that pathetic script and director. It's best forgotten! It had so much potential, I hope somewhere down the line someone else realizes how great the Aliens vs Predator universe is and makes a truely classic movie from it that shits all over that one!! :tongue:

mission Impossible 1,2,3,4,5...X, was, is and will be a crap, sadly the movie turn MI concept of team job (u know, all the ppl there is very -very- is important, making up fake situations) intp a kind of james bond in which tom cruise is the super uber guy, i remember an 80s -or 90s(?)- series which was very good, i thought that the movie would have been something like that, i was wrong, MI now is only a "US" james bond, anyway...

the worst sequel i remember, maybe could be roboco 3, robo2 was great ,a rare ocation in which the 2nd part is better than the first one, but R3, man one of the worst sequel ever

Back to the Future 2 was better (or equal, hard to call on this one) to the first one but the third was weak.

I don't think Rambo First *****, The Exorcist, or Amityville Horror needed any sequels.

RAMBO (First ***** 2) was an EXCELLENT sequel.

And for the record, I enjoyed AH2

-Superman 3-4 shouldn't have existed. Hopefully Superman Returns is more like the 2 firt Superman movies.

-Alien5 would be cool : Every ***** movie has its own style and they're all very good.
