what Job do you do for a living?

I am currently unemployed because i am in college but i wanted to see what jobs people on here do and maybe you could give me some recommendations.

I am an electrician - finished my apprenticeship just last year and am now waiting to start a very nicely paid job indeed. :)

Things like elctrical/instrumentation, plumbing apprenticeships etc... you can't really go wrong with as there is always work. OK, it is not particularly ambitious, but it is money for old rope.

I work at a marketing firm in downtown. On the side, I'm sometimes hired as a contract killer... I'm also a Club DJ/music producer. I love to dabble in multimedia and in the culinary arts.

spooky iam electrician what qualifications you got??@brown eye

I'm a shoe cobbler.

Actually, mortgage broker with unmotivated goal of playing professional poker.

I'm currently unemployed. I was working in the video game dept. at Toys R Us but the company closed my store as of Jan. 26, 2008. I am looking for a new place of employment at the moment but in the mean time I am on vacation. It's the Summer of Darkwarrior3007.

North American sales manager for a manufacturing company.

My advice on a finding a job would be this: Find something that is a passion for you....something you would want to do regardless of the money. The money will come as a result (at least enough to make you happy).

Way too many of us are laboring over jobs we hate. Life is too short to spend over 1/3 (or more) of it doing something you loathe.

Money is overrated. Being content is a much more satisfying goal in life.

very true indeed.. I am really interested in finding a job in the porn industry not acting but working on set.

You know, Jagger, I don't agree with you on much- but you NAILED this. Ever since I got out of that thankless, dangerous, career in law enforcement, I have found this to be incredibly true that although there are usually bills to pay and needs to be met- being happy and content is worth FAR MORE than being wealthy.

Now that I'm not beating my head against a wall wearing a badge, I've really gotten a lot closer with my family, been able to enjoy things more, and I'm even doing better financially.

I'm not dissing the cops- we need the service they provide, and it's a good career for some, but not for me.

Rep to you, Jag! :glugglug:

Yep- I know a guy who makes (after taxes, etc.) 10,000 a month, and he's a booze-guzzling mysanthrope who doesn't even leave his house much. He hooked up with a friend of mine, and within a couple months, she's a pill-crunching cunt. :(

Yep, sounds like someone who does something on contract all right- a HIT MAN!

Right lets see here...

Bricklayer, Joiner, Electrician, Plasterer, Sign Writer, Designer, Glazer, Roofer, Scaffolder, Carpet Layer, Tiler, Plumber, I have minor qualifications in all these and have done all.

Have all the qualifications you can think of in Painting and Decorating and ran my own business for 8 years doing it. Plus trained many others to do this for 2 years.

But for the last what seems like forever been a Loading Bay Operative/Mail Sorter and instructor training people on these jobs also. Plus I do some other things in this job I can't talk about.
