I am not a big fan of the whole boarder line assault type of porn, the constant slapping, spitting, and throat fucking. I miss the 90's style of porn with the whole lame story line that somehow involves sex, but hey that was what porn was about back then. That and hooking up with glam rockers.

Great point! How many times have you seen a pictorial where it's supposed to be cheerleader say, and the first thing they do is strip completely out of the uniform! No sexy shots under the skirt, no outfit in disarray.

Porn is like other things such as movies, music, TV shows, video games etc that it moves on and obviously the long term porn fans don't like it so obviously the long term fans hate most of today's porn. On the plus side of porn more and more women are starting to accept porn and even enjoying and becoming fans of porn so hopefully soon the number of women buying, watching, downloading and being fans of porn will be the same as the men.
I have a few problems with porn but it has nothing to do with the camera work or the pornstars themselves or even the fantasies and fetishes (as long as it's the legal kind of fetishes and acts then I'm cool with it) but more like it still uses stereotypes and keeps many pathetic sex myths alive (amateur porn also does it to a certain extent). The industry needs a good public image so that the only people who will be pissing and moaning about porn will be man hating feminist extremists along with the world's largest industry which is religion (not including sex positive religious people of course)
If I had a porn company or if I was a producer or a director I would do sex-positive porn combined with realistic porn. I would do many different types of porn like for example:
1. Interracial - I would do all kinds of interracial but I would make sure that they will be black guys who have average sized penises or smaller in some shoots as well since porn is one of the things that keeps the myth alive that black guys naturally have bigger dicks. Also I will not any kind of racism in the productions at all including the titles at all since some interracial porn of all kinds does have racism in it whether it is a tiny bit or is in a lot of the movie. So stereotypes is one thing my company won't do.
2. The looks of the performers - Everyone has different tastes and types when it comes to people so I will have people of all shapes and sizes and looks in it so it will be in a way equal opportunity porn. Whether that will make or break the company depends on what people will think.
3. Genres - I would would do all of the popular genres but will do just as many reversals of those genres as well like for example gang-bang porn which there will one guy with a certain number of women to go with the mainstream one woman and a certain number of guys. Also I would also do lesser known genres (again as long as they are legal) as well and hopefully they could take off depending on if the fan bases have open minds.
4. Realism - Even though it will planned and scripted I would do scenarios that is based on the experiences that many people have. Like for example people meeting from a NSA sex dating site (perhaps it will best to make a site up).
5. Camerawork - I would have more then two (like there is on many porn DVDs especially the interactive ones) angles options for the porn I would do though maybe the best way that could work will be if the productions are releases online that are ISO files that people can download and burn it to DVD or Blu-ray if they wish (I believe one porn company considered that once) though I think in order to protect the copyright there should be limit on how many times it can be burned.
Also I would also ask the pornstars on what they want to do with their scenes, how they will have sex, what personality they would have for that scene, etc so I give the stars creative control with their scenes along with asking the fan base on what they would like to see in future productions.
So in my porn company I will have the following rules:
1. No sexism or racism of any kind
2. No degradation/humiliation of any kind since even roleplay/staged can be too much for some people along with it could give out the wrong message to the fan base male and female alike.
3. No stereotypes
I may have many other ideas in the future but for now will be my ideas.

One of the things I've noticed as a producer is that in porn actresses have lots of different body types, not just those 3 body types, say, that are shown in fashion magazines.
I think the reason a brand like Playboy is hemorrhaging money is too much silicon, too much trying to fit women into one ideal. In the early days of the magazine, there were all these interesting breast shapes, now it's like they're striving for one only, and the "naturals" is sideline genre.
In other words, it's not longer a celebration of the naked body, but an artificial reconfiguration that has less and less appeal.
