What is your favorite PC game?

There is a lot of debate out there on what the best PC game is out there. I'm debating between modern warfare and skyrim. Any thoughts?

There are tons of great PC games overshadowed by their console counterparts. For example, the Left 4 Dead games are great on PC. That being said my favorite PC game is still Runescape (if it counts)

I gotta' go with the first Quake. It represented a major shift in gaming. It was the first action game (that I was aware of, at least) where you could play online just through your regular internet connection and play with 16 poeple at once. Then it got upgraded to 32 and eventually 64. It was really amazing to experience it for the first time.

And all the mods! I still think the Team Fortress mod for Quake was the greatest thing ever. The Half-Life TF mod and TF2 paled in comparison the the original.

Man...I stayed up many a night playing Quake until the wee hours of the morning. Great times!

I've always been a huge Civilzation fan, played them all. I have Civilization V and am not very happy with it just like pretty much every remake they do these days which is actually less fun than the original. I guess Civilization 3 would be my all time favorite and right now my current favorite game would probably be Skyrim.

Problem is I play so many games I have a new favorite every few weeks.
