I just finished World War Z by Max Brooks. Great book abot zombies. Re-invents the genre. It isn't just a horror, it features tons of social commentary, survivalism and makes you question the certainty of the world we live in.
Each chapter is basically an interview with a survivor of the "war" and makes it feel real. Also makes you think what it would actually take to survive something like this.
Although the format makes it difficult to carry momentum throughout the book, each individual story is captivating.
