What is wrong with Firefox?

Anybody experiencing problems with Mozilla Firefox from a couple of days ago? It is really slow, web pages won't load sometimes. Any help would be greatly appreciate. I use Firefox version 2.0.0.12.

Fox has that problem sometimes. I run the newest version. It can be great one day, and piss you off the next. A lot of it has to do with your computer's memory. FF is a tremendous drain on DRAM memory. It also has to do with Internet traffic. But I've noticed that even if I throw in the towel and switch back to IE during those lag times, there's no improvement. For me, I'm thinking of doubling my SDRAM memory soon. Maybe that would help.

The only time I've noticed it running slowly, I had a virus.

I really don't know what's going on, it always worked great until like friday. I don't think I have a virus, I did a scan and everything. Maybe it's because of my memory space? but like I said it has always worked great until now.

Yes, I've definitely noticed that it lags when it wants to. It tends to freeze altogether if I'm updating a program or downloading something.

I agree with this. I'm running the same version and I wish I didn't upgrade to it. Performance is spotty. I think I have a "double-click" problem too. I have a problem with Firefox interpreting 2 clicks when I only click once, at sporadic times. This is a huge hassle especially when I'm pornsurfing, I end up closing windows I didn't want to, for example. Although it could be a problem with my wireless mouse. I just never had this problem with earlier versions of Firefox...

I've never had any probs with firefox at all, and I let it autoupdate. Having said that, I never leave it open when I'm afk, I've heard that can lead to memory hogging problems.

Yes mine is and since the last update I've had problems opening some pictures :dunno:

I'm on a specially tuned Mac version of 2.0.0.12.

I have no problems other than the aqua form widgets and fonts are now larger than they ever have been.

You don't realize how intuitive your browser is until something so small like that is chaged.

Sometimes Firefox is acts sluggish for me, I restart my computer and the problem goes away.
