What is the latest good film you watched ?

Dead Man's Walk.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), way, way ahead of it's time, and reality still hasn't gotten there yet, and probably won't in this century.

And the sequel, 2010 (1984) , good sci-fi, cool FX.

Both based on novels by Arthur C. Clarke, worth reading.

I'm looking forward to the movie Rendevous with Rama, also based on a novel by Arthur C. Clarke.

"The Wolverine" was good taking the character to Japan and throwing up conflict and danger along the way,
"Man of Steel" was long but I found it was okay . Different to the original series of Superman films but it is good to change the concept.

On television , it is hard to get any film that can match "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy even now. Absolute Cinematic Gold.
Although I think "The Two Towers" may be marginally better than "Return of the King"

Princess Bride

...directed by Rob Riener; executive producer Norman Lear; staring Gary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Andre the Giant, Chris Sarondon, Wallace Shawn, Christopher Guest, Fred Savage, Peter Falk, Peter Cook, Billy Crystal, Carol Kane, and "introducing" Robin Wright.
Music by Marc Knopfler.
Amazing flick...

It probably helps to be under the influence of something, but I enjoyed A Haunted House (2013).

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Life of Pi... amazing story, cinematography and special effects/CGI.

I'd watched almost the entire movie before I realized that it wasn't what I thought it was.
