What is the latest good film you watched ?

Just watched Apollo 13 from 1995 a really well done telling of the "successful failure" that happened in 1970. I still have vivid memories of the incident and although I was only 16 at the time but probably had greater grasp of how difficult a safe return would be than most people. I used to write away to NASA for "NASA Facts" a series of full color posters of Mercury, Gemini, & Apollo capsules, rockets & missions. Had them all over my bedroom walls. Also my Father's best friend had been the Uncle of Ed White first American to walk in space and Mission Commander of the fatal Apollo 1, so I was very aware of the chance of loss. Yes this movie got it right and if you have never seen it, you should.

The Revenant (2015)

hopefully Leonardo DiCaprio can finally win an oscar

The Witch. Was pretty good. Critics seemed to like it better than regular moviegoers, and I saw why. It didn't have the cliche scares that you've seen already in the many terrible horror movies out there. It was more atmospheric (mostly shot with natural light, even!) and carried a sense of dread. A very effective flick on the nature of religious fervor and belief during that time period.

Deadpool - It was okay for a Romcom ;) Liked breaking the 4th wall but didn't care for Colossus.

Batman (1966) - Original superhero comedy High Camp that didn't take itself serious at all.

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - A great SciFi still holds up well.
