The last couple of Johnny Depp movies were quite crap but this is finally a good one again.

Watched Marty Feldman's (wrote directed, starred) very funny "The Last Remake of Beau Geste". It was only after he finished the movie he found out he had misremembered his source material and included major elements of The Corsican Brothers.
Also Gene Wilder's (wrote directed, starred) very funny "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother"
Both films are well worth tracking down. They really don't make comedies like this anymore.

Getting really to watch Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress" which could be called "Star Wars Episode 0: Lone Jedi" It's the movie that gave George Lucas all the major ideas for Star Wars.
