Glengarry Glen Ross

9 / 10 - great performances by Lemmon, Pacino, Spacey, Arkin, Harris, Baldwin!!!

great script by David Mamet!!!

humble direction and cinematography. No distracting fancy-pants CGI. Just plain, viewer-friendly camerawork.

Really liked it!

I should rent that. I caught parts of that 2 or 3 times, but never sat down to watch the whole thing. Good taste Dick! (I mean you have good taste Dick). :jester:

A good animation, The Iron Giant;
A boy makes friends with an innocent alien giant robot that a paranoid government agent wants to destroy.

It's good to be the king...
The (original) Italian Job

MST3K: Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders.

Very funny.

Saw "Grindhouse" last night, freaking awesome, can't wait to see it again, and OMG the fake trailers in the beginning and between the first and second movie, great, funny stuff.

la haine

i see someone has already mentioned it on this thread - but if you haven't already, then you gotta watch this movie

particularly if you like Spike Lee movies, American History X etc

it's French ( the title means "hate") so it has got subtitles which do give a slightly dodgy translation < snoopy instead of asterix & some kinda stereotypical american "gangsta" slang >

but it's as powerful as fuck and has a great soundtrack

This past Friday night, I was watching The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie, which came out...last year, was it? I loved that movie; it was accurate enough to the book.

finally saw Blood Diamond last night.

before that I saw Breach, which was also good.

probably going to try and see Letters From Iwo Jima tonight.
