Not sure that it was a good film as such, but I have just watched The Wrestler, and Marisa Tomie has an amazing body. I didn't realise that she was 42 when this was filmed, it certainly doesn't show.

Finally watched Cloverfield. For some reason, I was convinced I was going to hate it. But I ended up digging it. The dialog and acting really impressed me considering the actors were all unknown and had to act out a wide range, from a casual party setting to all out panic and survival. A lot could have went wrong there.
The effects were believable and well shot and the monster(s) worked well enough to move the movie along. Great pacing and tight editing.
Also, Ichi was good samurai fun. Basically, it's a Zatoichi samurai movie, but with an emotionless super cute blind Japanese chick instead of the awkward and upbeat blind master. In this movie, Ichi's searching for her long lost father Zatoichi, and ends up getting reluctantly involved in a looming war between a yakuza gang and ruthless bandits. It plays like any in the Zatoichi series and comes out solid, save for some cheap CG blood. I'm hoping they make more of these because Haruka Ayase does a great job with the character and she's sure easy on the eyes.
