Blood Diamond

Great acting, great story. Makes you think, and has a very real message behind it.

I'll never buy a diamond again.

It's good to be the king...
Mentioned it everywhere else over the weekend:

The Apartment (1960)

An office romance that still has bite, after all these years....:thumbsup:

I saw "Old School" a few days back, which is one of my all time favourite movies.

I happened to come across "All About The Benjamins" On MuchMusic (Canadian equvilant to MTV) what a crappy movie and every swear was beeped out so it was pretty funny

The Last King Of Scotland .. saw it today .. gripping film .. Forrest Whittaker is magnificent as Idi Amin

Flags of Our Fathers by Clint Eastwood was VG. It takes the story of the men hoisting the flag on Iwo Jima from a human angle I didn't expect.
It will be followed by Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima, which is the story of the Japanese affected by the battle and the war.

I just saw this last night. I thought it was a little unclear who was supposed to be telling the story through the movie, and I'm a little tired of war movies at the moment, but it was very interesting to learn the real story of the flag raising at Iwo Jima. It was very visually stunning as well. Then again, I've come to expect nothing less from Clint Eastwood films.

I really like the actor that played the Indian as well. You should see him in "Wind Talkers."

The Science of Sleep

From the writer Michel Gondry of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind" I think it pushed the boundries a little far and is way too quirky... His other movies are far better.

Tony Curtis played that part too in a somewhat similiar story about Ira Hayes;
