Death Note (2006) Series of two japanese live action adaptations of the manga/anime series of the same name. Supernatural horror, well recommended.

Although I disagree with almost every anti-establishment sentiment in the movie and I absolutely abhor Janeane Garofalo, I really enjoyed Vincent D'onofrio's portrayal of Abbie Hoffman in "Steal This Book." It is a fascinating character study and it gave some insight into the left's perception of America during the Viet Nam war and the period following.
