I'm feeling so satisfied after watching the film. I still feel happy. I tell you, when I saw JJ Abrams is directing, I was wary of watching the new Star Trek. I tell you what he nailed it. Right amount of emotion in an action franchise. How he portrayed the characters so well is sheer genius.
I thought, near the end, oh no the movie is ending. However, the end was such a cataclysm it left me really filled, like an excellent meal at a top restaurant in the poshest part of a good town.
Everything is there. Vulcan. A bit of Federation. The old ship didn't look as awful as it does in the original.
Did anyone notice Paul McGillion after the intro, when Kirk is trying to get onto the "Enterprise'? He is the guy keying in data on a console who tells Kirk whadawhada - not to spoil it for those who must still watch.
Paul plays the good doctor on "Stargate Atlantis".
A definite see twice.
