What is the latest good film you watched ?

Take a Hit, Spunker!
I just downloaded and watched the new Star Trek movie. Considering I'm not a Star Trek fan, it was a really good movie! I mean I really liked it. The guy who plays the young Capt. Kirk, he has an attitude that you get to like and Spock....well he's.....Spock. Good movie to start the summer movie craze. Next on my list is Transformers 2. That movie I will pay(gasp!) to see, seeing as how I don't pay for movies.

X-Men Origins.

Going to go see Star Trek tomorrow.

Hannah Montana: The Movie I'm serious its a good film go see it!.

I been reading a book for a change "De broncode (the source code)". Its about a Dutch guy who probably used fuzzy logics to "compress" the data of 16 films so it fits on a 64Kb chip.

I can't figure it out how he did it with the current numeric system, so I'm calling a hoax on this. However it was an interesting book and I might read some more books in the future (Good excuse to ignore old people in the train when they try to start a conversation).

that movie was so bad it gave me cancer!

Star Trek (2009) - BEST Star Trek film I've even seen, although I liked 1 through 4 very much and the NExt Generation films were very good as well but this one....WOW!
I wish they would make a TV show with this cast. This is one film I would go see twice.

And I'm no Trekkie.

Amen! I actually hate Star Trek, but that movie is a really good!! The only Star Trek I ever saw before this one is The Wrath of Kahn and the Voyage Home. Other than that, I never watched the series. I'm a Star Wars fan through and through, but I wouldn't mind seeing more Star Trek movies or maybe a series with the cast from the movie and the prequel story line.

I'm feeling so satisfied after watching the film. I still feel happy. I tell you, when I saw JJ Abrams is directing, I was wary of watching the new Star Trek. I tell you what he nailed it. Right amount of emotion in an action franchise. How he portrayed the characters so well is sheer genius.

I thought, near the end, oh no the movie is ending. However, the end was such a cataclysm it left me really filled, like an excellent meal at a top restaurant in the poshest part of a good town.

Everything is there. Vulcan. A bit of Federation. The old ship didn't look as awful as it does in the original.

Did anyone notice Paul McGillion after the intro, when Kirk is trying to get onto the "Enterprise'? He is the guy keying in data on a console who tells Kirk whadawhada - not to spoil it for those who must still watch.

Paul plays the good doctor on "Stargate Atlantis".

A definite see twice.

Star Trek '09

Pretty good. First Star Trek movie I've ever sat down and watched to be perfectly honest. Interesting approach as well. Definately has that "Ultimate Universe"/Earth-1, Earth-2 thing going on.
