Another I've seen just came on HD cable. I'm not a big action fan as you might know.

Winged Migration a documentary, music, narrated, about long distance bird flight. Very pretty. I get a lot of these guys in my backyard so am into this.

Frequency. (Quaid, Caviezel) Loved it when it first came out. Lost some of its lustre, since then. :(

Also, Cronenberg's "The Fly" in its 2005 DVD release. Feels rushed as an overall story. But the deleted scenes were pure crap and the sequel..ech. No.

Watched Dreamcatcher last night. I think it's probably the best steven king movie. the ending is pretty fucking lame though, and I guess the directer was just itching to use the last five minutes to make up for the rest of the films lack of ruining the storyline.

As for me, the last good film i watched was Dirty Harry

Seen it when i was younger but never all the way through for some reason, but the christmas sales made me buy it on dvd, £2! cant miss that kind of bargain!

Yeah, the Shining was a good movie, but that was all stanely kubrik. you can't really compare it with the book. see for example the TV remake :yawn:. and I think IT was shIT.

oh yeah, I forgot about a few good one's... let me rephrase that then. his best horror novel movie.

The setting in "The Shining", (the real one), knocks me out. Dr. Death posted Google co-ordinates for the Overlook hotel in the Google Earth thread. If you recall, the climbers lost on Mt. Hood last week stayed there before hiking up the mountain.

Worst one. Way too long, makes no sense at all! Characters are terrible, lying, cheating and stealing. They keep rewriting the script all throughout the movie. All the time, "I didn't mean to say that, I meant to say this", and "When I said yes I really meant no".

They're stupid enough to think that they're smarter then everyone else.
