Real good and funny.

Just saw Last King of Scotland (Idi Amin). Forrest Whitaker is brilliant in this role. Waiting for Flags of Our Fathers (Eastwood) Haven't seen The Departed, but I believe these are the best Hollywood has released so far this year amongst a lot of junk.

The first Bela Lugosi Dracula film.
For all it's campiness, it is a good film & also a nice time bubble.
I watched it again last night & I really got into it. I also have the silent Nosferatu film and that one too is quite excellent.

Just watched yesterday the original "House on Haunted Hill" with Vincent Price, boy that was a great horror mystery imagine doing something like that party Vincent and his wife threw nowadays so close to Halloween.

Watched Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen last weekend. It's a documentary about the German national soccer team in World Cup 2006, starting from boot camp in Sardinia to the 3rd-place play-off. It was so great, brought back the feeling of soccer World Cup 2006 in Germany. I'll definitely watch it again and buy the DVD which will be released this year.

the last really good movie i watched was "house of flying daggers", directed by zhang yimou and starring zhang ziyi. such a beautiful film!

Yes, that one was great! I like most newer Yimou Zhang films. Two are my favorites. The Road Home and Happy Times.

Great film! It's #52 in IMDB's top 250.

Indeed a great film, I have the director's cut on dvd.
If you ever go to Munich, visit "Bavaria Filmstadt", where the movie was filmed. On the guided tour around the studios you will walk inside the submarine. Respect to the actors and the camera team who had to film those fast scenes in that narrow "can".
