What is the latest good film you watched ?

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
I watched Sin City for the 1st time last night (Yep I know - I only watch movies when they reach council telly lol)

I thought it was a bit weird with the black and white picture. But for me it worked, although I do hate black and white films. But it kept me entertained with the babes and the gore :D

The dislike for Black and white movies is a generational thing I think.I guess it's like the way I feel about silents, never could really get into them. But you are really missing a lot of the greatest movies ever made by not trying to get passed that. But please lets not see a resurgence of that idea of colorizing older B/W movies, that was just awful and thankfully didn't last.

Ridley Scott's Someone To Watch Over Me, good movie.

I Am Legend and Zodiac.

Legend was unexpected, but very pleasing.

Zodiac was excellent but the timeline got a little skewed after a while. "A week later, 3 years later.. etc etc)

A Bronx Tale.

Massively underrated movie.

I still think black and white can work the best depending on what type of movie it is and the mood it's trying to set. You’re right about the old greats. Some of them just wouldn't have been the same if they were in color.
