OK, now this is a great film I'm not sure how many people have seen. I originally saw it in the theater with my dad back in 1981, have seen it on cable, VHS, DVD, and hope some day they will make a nice Blu-ray. Prince Of The City is directed by Sidney Lumet (Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon) and has a great cast starring Treat Williams. If you are a fan of the Lumet films listed and/or like films such as The French Connection or Fort Apache The Bronx I highly recommend you seeing Prince Of The City.
The classic winner of the 1972 Best Picture that I imagine most people have seen. Gene Hackman is always good. Enjoyed the camera shots and chase scenes along with the 1970s grittiness and vibe.
Robert McCall (Denzel Washington), a man of mysterious origin who believes he has put the past behind him, dedicates himself to creating a quiet new life. However, when he meets Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a teenager who has been manhandled by violent Russian mobsters, he simply cannot walk away.
