According to the Internet Movie Database Harold Ramis is working on Ghostbusters 3 called Ghostbusters in Hell!! Starring Ben Stiller, though apparently its a bogus listing! I can still pray that they finally make it though...who knows:dunno:

Don't think they should make another Ghostbusters. Although I do like the previous films I think a third one may not be the best and might be detrimental to the Ghostbusters legacy.

Maybe they can get the whole cast back and make it like they are getting out of retirement...but I agree a new cast would be hard to see...each of the cast members in the first 2 movies had done a reat job in there roles..

I actually heard rumor of this a couple of years ago, but haven't heard anything recently. Harold Ramis is pretty ingenious with the movies he's written in the past. If he hasn't lost it, and doesn't sell out and make just another lame ass sequel, I think it could be good.

What a strange coincidence this is. I just finished watching the first one tonight on DVD.
I say do it. Bring back the originals and possibly introduce some new "busters".

It's been in the planning for 5 years now and has had many a different name linked to it. As for the latest Ben Stiller, what a terrible choice, the man can't act and just isn't funny. Every single role he plays is the exact same!

Dan Akroyd is one of the writers on these films. On TV he said Bill Murray won't do it but maybe they'll go on without him. I also think it's bogus.

It's been long enough so that it could be new, even though it is a "III". The orginal was orignal and the 2nd couldn't do anything to improve on I.

I doubt that I would pay to go the the theatre to see it, but I'd rent it. (Just too much bad luck with those kinds of movies.)

I don't want to see it without Bill Murray. Hell, I really don't want to see it with any of the originals missing. I don't mind seeing them bring in new characters, but they definately need the entire original cast. Although, Ernie Hudson isn't that important to me.
