What game did you absolutely dislike and could not come to finish?

If they were to add just a few more upgrades to the NHL09 formula then it would still be worth gettin' pumped for NHL10. Shooters vs. Sports multiplayer is an apples to oranges comparison but when it comes down to just plain old fun, I'd have to say NHL09 and hockey games in general are the funnest multiplayer games there are in my opinion.

The only thing I wish all of EAs games would implement, and I know it won't happen anytime soon, is dynamic animations. Canned animations are past their time, and there are plenty of resources to make it happen, but EA instead has chosen to use their own engines.

Far Cry 2 (can't get in the mood for it mainly due to the crap AI)

Prince of Persia Sands of Time: not exactly a bad game but very long and I always give up to one certain place and never play it again.

Metal Gear Solid 2. I've bought and got rid of it a few times but the cutscenes put me right off it, every time.

And props to that guy who dissed the "The Thing" videogame, fiddly piece of unatmospheric shite it was.

I never cared much for Metal Gear Solid 2 either. Having to play as Raiden pretty much killed it for me. I did not bother picking up Metal Gear Solid 3 because of it also until I saw it for 10 bucks at Best Buy and thought what the hell. Three was pretty awesome.

^That's the problem for me, I've had MGS3 for 3 years or so, only played it for a minute or so upon first purchase, and MGS2 has always put me off. I KNOW that MGS2 is quality, but cutscenes have to be suffered, and I am sick of suffering, I need a game that cuddles me, maybe nips me a bit, but keeps things on the level.

I hear that MGS3 is actually a fantastic game, yet they KEPT the massively long cutscenes, but that's the game, isn't it? I sense the game itself, it's a departure from a lot of what MGS2 was lacking in. And it is better.

Yet I don't ever play it!!!!

Hideo Kojima needs a X7 level of pain that The Christ suffered in that Mel Gibson Jesus film, the aggravating cunt.

But you get to nuke a town! That alone was worth it! :1orglaugh
BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams comes out Nov. 3rd

Just the fact that she plays video games at all is a bonus!

Jesus man I feel real boring I suppose everyone nuked negaton? I kinda went with the good guy stuff lol.

I never actually beat Super Mario Bros, or Ocarina of Time... seems like I'm the only one.

Duke Nukem: Zero Hour for the N64 is another one, that game was f'kn hard!

Is it just me or did games get way easier after about '99-2000?

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
BioShock: Not a fan of the game at all. Hated the concept, hated the gameplay, and hated the environment. It's really the only game I've ever bought that I didn't like.

Ive got some old ps2 games that i never want to try and finish like Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and some other games that I forgot about.

I got the "Sonic Mega Collection +" or something for my PS2 and after playing one level, I never picked it back up. I never really liked any of the Sonic games, but I thought after buying that I woud change my mind, but it didn't.

I also didn't like the game adaptations for the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. While I loved the movies, the console games wheren't my cup of tea.

Yeah, I never beat Bioshock either... I rented it, and while the story was quite good, the gameplay sucked.

And the enemies all looked like olive oil from popeye.

The AI didn't bother me in Far Cry 2. Infact I thought the AI was ok. What really got to work on my morale big time was the whole driving for miles on end just to perform some stupid thirty second side mission and then another massive drive for miles back the way I came just to do a normal mission. There is just too much dull driving in the game. I finished the game though and if anyone else can finish it my hats off to them. I just hope with Far Cry 3 they ditch the whole lengthy driving sessions the second one has.

Dead Rising. Great idea, really annoying to play.

Good on paper. Poor onscreen. The game is broken in so many ways. Like you said the idea is great. But it is poorly executed. Complete free roam from start to finish NO TIME LIMIT WHAT SO EVER is what is needed. So forget DR2 as it has the same time limit the first one has.

I liked Bioshock. I really liked it. But I am not too keen on the idea for the sequel. It is ONCE AGAIN set in Rapture. It's not based in a different place. I am not paying thirty five or forty pounds for a game that is based in the same place as the first game. Get creative FFS.

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Viking: Battle for Asgard

Just shipped it back to gamefly today. I got all the way to the top of the tower at the end of the fucking game right before you do battle against Hel (the final boss) and I couldn't even make it to her. I gave up and shipped it back. Game went from only slightly challenging to god damn impossible right at the end. Fuck that!

Lair on PS3. I really wanted to get into that game ( even though it got such bad reviews ) .I thought they where exagerating about the control but it was spot on , even with the easier control scheme that came with the update the game was still unplayable and frustrating.

Had a mate with a game where u actually had to WALK up MT EVEREST.........wanker

LEGO Indiana Jones. Easily the worst game I've played in a long time. Its pretty sad that I find Rock Revolution more enjoyable.

haha I'm playing it right now. It's not that bad, but compared to Lego Star Wars the game is a little boring.

I can't get into any of the Lego games -- now, if I remember right, they are coming out with some Lego Guitar Hero game

Sounds crap to me, then again, I can't get into Guitar Hero or Rock Band, or any of those. Thing is, I feel so pretentious whilst playing Guitar Hero, I feel I could actually be learning how to play a real guitar... rather learning how to play a color button guitar for a game. I played it once and never playing it again!
