America is so fucking big it's no surprise many of it's citizens stay put. You have such a vast and varied landscape you could have any type of vacation without ever having to get on a plane.

It is so big we still fly a lot just within it lol.I have always thought one of the big difference's between the US and europe was that the states here are United into one country while Europe is broken into all the individual countries. That has been a big advantage for us and I think the formation of the EU was europe trying to do the same to be more competetive. In some ways the european settlers of the US must have said lets do things different with this new territory and make it one big country instead of being more provincial and having so many smaller ones.

Yup, you hit it right on the head, at least for me. I have been to many places within the US and it's so easy to travel. Going abroad, I would have to worry about passports, language barriers, etc. It would be exciting to travel the world, but traveling within the country here there are really so many experiences to have and even cultures to sample. And with plenty of plane routes and interstate highways, it is really made so easy and usually inexpensive as well.

A few places around Europe. All pretty bland. France and Spain were particularly foul places that I don't wish to ever visit again.

I'd like to live in the USA or Canada someday but I just don't know how I'd get to do that. Money isn't a problem, but everything else would be.
