@Lee Van Queef - in those David Allan Coe videos from 1974, do you know who is playing the mandolin and pedal steel guitar along with background vocals? He's pretty good.

Then Johnny Paycheck's hit cover ....

The Johnny Paycheck version is kind of strange. In the faraway shots, his plugged in electric guitar has a capo on the fifth fret. That really puts a limitation on his fingering as well as putting his guitar pitched to a different key. His lead guitarist has to be in the same key. Otherwise, the whole band would be out of tune right away.

Sorry but I don't. I really enjoy those David Allan Coe 1970s live clips.

I bought a DAC T-Shirt once. Took forever and still didn't show up. I found a number so I called and he had Hell's Angels doing Customer Service for his fan club. Now that's Outlaw! Also rude and it took another 2 months before I finally got the shirt.
