What are you listening to right now?

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.

While I'm not listening to the LP, I do have this album, still, in very good condition. I wish I had more of my old vinyl, some things just sound better in an analog format.

Kinda like I was surprised when I found out this was a cover:

of this from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac

Yes Peter wrote that in 1969 the result of a bad LSD trip. The Devil comes to him in his sleep. Scary, huh?

Peter had a spiritual experience as a result of this bad LSD trip. He wanted to follow God. "Oh Well : Parts I and II" is pretty much a song praising God.

Here's one that's also relevant - Many walls and buildings in London had the "Clapton is God" reference ...

(he references God in it too: "Whoa but I don't need nobody. I don't anybody but Him and me")

....The verse, "You're sitting there so Green. Believe me man, I'm just the same as you" is a reference to this:

Some people thought that he was better than Eric Clapton.

Mick Fleetwood later said in his book, "that Peter Green then abruptly left the group and started selling all of his possessions to gain God's favor." Included was his 1959 Les Paul Standard, "Greeny", later owed by Gary Moore and now owned by Metalica's Kirk Hammett.

He is certainly unique. I didn't realize the Judas Priest version was a cover until 10 years or so ago.
