no, that is not reggae. that is more like traditional ethnic stuff, some elements of folk music - all based on african drums & percussion.

I like such unusual styles of music, because it rhythmic repeated motives in a combination with vocal screams and mumbling makes me to fall into a some kinda trance (not to mess with "trance" genre)

but that maybe too rough for untrained listener :sing:

oh yes, I listen to reggae more than you can imagine! :bigear: but the thread title is what I am listening to right now, and I just can't call all the styles and names at the same time. I am fond of music very much, and due to that fact, I have quite versatile taste. When I want something different I can switch to electronic or lounge, or jazz, and than get back to African or Arabian music or whatever.

I love reggae. Most of all I prefer dub reggae, and raggamuffin - and I have many albums of different artists. A few roots reggae artists are also OK (Max Romeo is great, for example), but I am not big lover of that particular style.
