That's the thing, the Japanese use a loophole in the law so they can continue to brutally slaughter whales. Not one government has the balls to do anything about it so the Sea Shepherds do it and I applaud them for doing it. If they asked me to join them I would say yes without any hesitation.

If Green "Peace" was so concerned about polluters why can't they catch Asian and American ships who dump millions of pounds of trash and so on into the oceans? It's because they really don't care. The japenese are allowed to kill whales in the name of research. They do the very very little research they do just to kill the whales but they can do that.

Also even if did stop hiding behind the research the International Whaling Commission doesn't have any power to enforce. They cannot invade Japan sovereignty. IWC is volunteer organization.

According to Wikipedia, Japan will probably resume commercial whaling soon.

Also, someone is going to get hurt if they keep sinking ships. I am in favor of protecting endangered animals, just not eco-terrorists.

Today, Greenpeace and the sierra club are led by a gaggle of radical attorneys, not accredited conservationists, as had been the case in the beginning.

But hey, If they wish to launch a program to help save the lives of these gentle giants of the sea, it's all good to me.
