Perhaps the contrast between this coming 'greater depression' and the excess of the 80s.. stupidity of the 90s.. and OMGWTF of the 2000s is just now obvious enough to be 'glaring'. Yes, i am 21 and how ever far the past goes forward. Its just not the way it use to happen.
im 24 so i dont have enough of a past to really speak on, but i do remember a more free spirit to things maybe 8 years back.... to me the world felt like a friendlier place or something.... i dunno....

Exactly! Nowadays, people can't take risks like they did. If you look at somebody and they don't like it, you get shot. If you say anything that offends ONE person, you get sued. Marriages disolve because people won't work them out. Friendships are destroyed because the other person doesn't 100% agree with the other person on EVERYTHING. People need to take a chill pill, lighten up, and let stupid stuff slide.

I'd say you're getting old my friend, and I'm no spring chicken myself, but just by asking that you have severely dated yourself and your habits. So beit. I'm sure if I ever have children it'll be a slippery slope once I have to start looking after a life other than my own.

AIDS, political correctness, cops cracking down and arresting people for every little thing, people staying home and using the computer or playing video games instead of going out. life is more comfortable and easier now but alot less fun
speak for yourself.
life is what you make it. if you say its not fun, you are either:
a) no fun to begin with
or
b) to lazy to have fun.
what do you do when a party sucks? make it not suck. don't sit in the corner and complain about it.
