Weird type of breast enlargement

I have wondered what is the reason for the breast enlargement type, where the cut is made vertically, not horizontally? I have noticed that mainly older women and amateurs use it, but below is a picture that is as far as I can see, from a young woman. So what's the point? In my view it is just uglier looking, so why to do it?

Reduction? That doesn't sound right. That girl has quite big boobs and the ones I have seen before have been big too. If the scars are from breast reduction, they have had massive boobs before or they have reducted and undone that by enlarging.

I don't have any suspicion about the breast reduction as such, just this scar issue. Nevertheless, I have no idea about the scars and that's why I asked, so maybe I just have to believe you.
