But he was the fucking GOP candidate/President elect.
From the moment he announced he was running 'til the end of his mandate, the only thing that should matter to him, the only thing he should be thinking about, is the well-being of US citizens. America shouldn't even be his #1 priority, it should be his only priority, the only thing he has on his mind, 24/7.
Being the President of the United States is a more than full-time job.
Look a photos of past presidents at the very beginning and the very end of their presidency, you'll that that they've aged, a lot, more than how long their presidency actually lasted. Because it's an incredibly difficult job in which you have to deal with extremely complicated issues, to which, very often, there's no real good solution just bad solutions and others that happen to be even worst. And each decision you make will have repercussions on the lives of millions of US citizens. And that is just you day-to-day routine, you can also be awaken at 4pm because the Beijing stock-market just crashed, because there's been a terror attackin Italy, because Israel and Palestine are at each-other's thorat again, because the President of Australia just passed away or because a US soldier just got killed fighting Daech in Iraq.
But Trump takes the job as a student job, an intern-job : he spends very little time actually working, much more time watching TV and tweeting, wants intelligence briefings to be simplified and without any dissenting information, doesn't want to read anything that doesn't features pictures (unless he's painted in a positive way in the document), thinks he knows everything issues better than people who dedicated their lives to it, blames his staff for the results of his own decisions (even when he made them despite them teling him it was a bad idea), etc.
