Vote: Sirius V. XM Satellite Radio

Let me try to make this answer simple so that you might understand. Some day in the future.............you and others like you may get a good paying job(a job is something like a task that responsible individuals do and somebody else pays you for). My particular job occasionally takes me out into the boonies where there are no radio waves and only satellite is available. I enjoy listening to something on the radio besides static. Therefore, I have found a solution to the problem....the satellite radio.
I happen to have a lot of disposal income(that is the same thing as extra money) that I can use to make my job easier/more enjoyable.
Guess what? In addition to the sat rad, I just spent a whole bunch of money on a GPS system instead of some unreliable $3.95 maps. The best thing about it is that I have the money to spend and it makes my job a lot easier.

Ive been a subscriber to XM radio for about a year now and im completely satisfied. When I was faced with the decesion to pick between the two i chose XM mostly because the sound quality is better, their equipment is more advanced, the company is on more solid ground (their stock closed yesterday at $33 a share, compared to Sirius at $6 a share), they have a much larger subscriber base, and all their channels have digital quality. One thing that is not known about Sirius is that they operate off of 1 satellite stationed over middle north america, XM uses 2, 1 over the east coast and another over the west, that allows for better coverage. thats just my oppinion.

one of xm sat's has a damaged solar panel (read this about a month ago it was in forbes) but both are digital quality , sirius has a younger fan base and i think has a better music selection , i bought stock @ $6 and hoping it will skyrocket up to those sats. (and like you said "my opnion") :2 cents:

I have debated this long and hard and have decided to go with XM for a number of reasons already covered here. However, the overriding factor is that, as a huge baseball fan, I cannot pass up XM's MLB offering over Sirius' NFL/NHL combo. Lots of times I am not home to catch baseball at night, but I am ALWAYS home on Sunday to catch the NFL on TV. The NHL package is worthless since you can pick up all the games online at nhl.com for free. It's XM for me.

I am looking into a sirius satellite radio because I kind of miss Howard Stern and I guess it's the only way now.

i've been a subscriber with xm since they went on air. i was actually one of the charter members in my state. but after listening to sirius i made the switch. main reason is they have 5 classic rock stations compared to xm's 2. and also their "old school" rap is a lot better than xm's. and as far as stern is concerned, i could give a shit less, and don't listen to him. bottom line is that sirius caters to the younger crowd. listen to both and decide, as both offer "test drives".
