Are they paying you to advertise it? We've all used it, its pretty good, end of. Not really worthy of a thread.

No there not I just thought I might tell others about it. What I like about it is that it will play VOB files & ISO Files without the use of a virtual disk image utlity.

I like VLC but it crashes for me quite frequently.I'll give that MPC one a try though.

VLC is a solid program. I used it to create screencaps from The Wire

I just heard the other day that Apple is allowing VLC to function on Mac computers

There's no profit in paying someone to advertise a freeware product such as VLC MP

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
It always worked up 'till recently.
For some reason it doesn't play the vids from Chica's place (I was lucky enough to win free membership recently - BOO-YAH!).

I haven't bothered whinging as I assumed my laptop was at fault and have been trying to solve the problem.

I would be very surprised to hear that someone didn't already know of this program. It's the only player I use when it comes to visual media files nowadays. WMP is just way too buggy and slow.

I might give the MCP player a go just to see what it's like. But unlike the users above I've never had any issues with the VLC up to this point so I very much doubt it'll be taking over as my default player yet.

hmmmm, which videos didn't play? i offer .mp4, .flv, and .wmv (low and high definition) video formats and i think the VLC player will play all of them.

another good player is GOM Player.

congrats on the free membership sweetie!

Whoa vodka, YOU won that I feel a sting of Envy ^^

Can't imagine VLC not handling the WMVs :dunno:

it will play ISO Movie files too.

VLC is best for most of the files I need to play, I've used it for years. I have been having some issues with it crashing lately though...

As a backup to VLC,I also use WinAmp.It's pretty decent, but it doesn't play AVI files at all.
