Whether or not veins are prominent usually depends on whether the extremity was recently elevated, whether it's hot or not, or whether the person just recently engaged in strenuous activity. So... seems like it would mostly depend on the circumstances whether people have them or not, wouldn't it? I've never noticed anyone (beyond the aged, where there's circulatory issues) to have naturally prominent veins (I guess in some people they're easier to see, since the skin would paler/more translucent, but this seems more about topography than appearance). But then I suppose it's possible I've merely never noticed this sort of thing because, well, it's a bit out of left field. I wouldn't even have imagined that anyone was into it prior to coming to this forum.

I suppose this raises the question: Is the like feet? Where if you're not into it you're never going to get it? Or is there an actual explainable reason behind preferring prominent veins? Like you're very touch-focused enjoy the extra contours when touching someone with prominent veins? Or perhaps you view it as a sign of excitement since it could indicate an elevated heart rate? Actually curious about this...
