What a sad story!
As a parent, my heart goes out to the parents (and loved ones) affected by this incomprehensible tragedy. I hope that someday, they can find a measure of peace - though their grief and loss shall never be fully assuaged
On a separate side note:
I'm
appalled frankly, at some of the comments here in this thread. I'm shaking my head in disbelief, distraught as to how easily people let their anger control their faculties.
Ladies and gentlemen,
I acknowledge your anger. Your disgust. Your frustration.
Believe me, I share them.
But please don't let it cloud your
judgment.
Vengeance... is not
justice.
Pay heed the words of Nietzche: "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
This story is very hard to stomach. its disgusting. how can a person, both or all of the people in that car live with the guilt of such a cowardly fucked up inhumane act of selfishness and disregard for others lives?.
Apparently, LA is seeing a rash of such incidents lately.
A witness told police that last Thursday, 45-year-old David Ronald Bork was sleeping in the rear driveway of a business on the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue when a private ambulance struck him.
The witnesses said the ambulance driver left the scene without identifying himself or rendering aid.
