Unsolved Crimes or Mysteries

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
I read alot of history, and a ton of fiction. However I occasionally delve into a topic as referenced in the thread's title.
Anyway her are a few unsolved crimes and mysteries I like, and occasionally try to solve in my mind when I am stoned or a bit buzzed and have free time on my hands. Here are a few:
-What ever happend to DB Cooper and the money he got away with
-Who or how many guys were Jack The Ripper, I heard a theory it may have been a American Civil War surgeon from Texas that escaped to England, for a couple of murders he commited in the States.
-The lost colony of Roanoke in Virginia.

Those are just a few examples, so if your interested in this thread post some of your favorite unsolved mysteries and crimes that always get you thinking...Oh yeah one of my all time personal favorites is the mysterious case of whoever smelt it dealt it??? :batman:

I'm obsessed with Jack the Ripper. From Hell made a very good case for itself. Anytime History or Discovery has a special I'm watching.

Ha, I love unsolved mysteries but from a 'scientific' point of view. It's a shame this area is flooded by conspiracy nuts and religious fanatics!

I like UFOs, ancient aliens etc but there are so many blockheads here that I don't know what I should believe in and what not...

I also like cryptozoology - Bigfoot, Yetti, Chupacabra, ancient giant shark Megalodon, dinos which survived to modern days etc but I am also very skeptical here. At least there are not many religious fanatics interested in this.

I'm sorry you lost me, what unsolved mysteries are influenced by religious nutjobs besides the ones that have everything to do with religion?

You know, maybe not directly religious in terms of christianity etc but e.g. around whole UFO phenomenon there are so many crackpots and sects. The same goes for 2012 craze. It's sometimes rare to find someone around these themes who is reasonable 'scientific skeptic'.

That doesn't answer my question.

There is plenty of science behind UFO's and 2012 you just have to be able to understand it and have an open mind, not be so linear in your thinking. Sift through the bullshit and make your own conclusions.
