No, what I'm saying is that we need to separate absurd concepts such as "raping the planet" and "violating Mother Earth" from out view of "protecting the environment". We needs to stop pretending that we're worried about the Eco system instead of our own society. The truth is that the Earth will always be a haven for abundant life until the planet dies or the sun explodes. Using the false concern of Gaia's health to tackle the problem in insincere bullshit.
If you don't want humans to meddle with the current state, fine. I can respect that. But don't pretend that our interest will fuck up the whole shabang.
That just doesn't make sense to me. In a very real sense, the planet
is being raped and the Earth will not
always be a haven for abundant life. If we finally do destroy the ozone layer, life on the surface of the planet won't be possible. This, in turn, would impact life below the surface and in the shallow parts of the ocean, which would then impact life in the deep ocean. It's a domino effect and mankind is slowly committing genocide against every living thing on the planet, including ourselves. There is nothing insincere about protecting the health of the planet, because it simply protects our own health.
