UK to Offer Alcoholic and Drug Abusing Women Money of They are Sterilized

According to the official reports, Project Prevention, which offers alcoholics and drug abusers women money if they are sterilized, has begun operating in Britain.

It has received almost $20,000 from an anonymous donor. The group is offering 200 pounds ($350) to drug abusers who agree to sterilization, the organization said.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Barbara Harris of North Carolina founded the organization in 1997 after she adopted four children who had been born addicted to crack cocaine. She said British addicts must arrange and pay for their own sterilizations and can then get payment by presenting a certificate.

She said, "I've got hundreds of emails from people in the UK saying: 'You need to come here, please come over here, we need your help. We're going to make this offer to drug addicts, social workers, law enforcement workers. Anyone who comes in contact with these women can refer addicts to us now we have 0800 number here in the UK."

The group should "have no place in Britain," Anthony Ozimic of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children said.

He further said, "It is inhuman to seek to eliminate human problems by eliminating humans themselves." (With Inputs from Agencies)

Heh. I honestly thing this should be an incentive offered - keyword being offered - to anyone. Get fixed, have some money...or tax break or whatever. Only eligible if no offspring have yet been produced.

Odd, I mentioned doing this for welfare recipients in another thread...I never imagined it'd be a reality!

It's inhuman to create human problems by bringing children into the world that are A) harmed by the mother's addiction in utero and B) A burden to society.

Alcoholics and addicts..... known for making the right descisions, especially when irreversable life changing ones are concerned, and money would not influence their descision in any way..... of course not.
