Regardless of what you think about Ted Kennedy, he accomplished more in his lifetime than all of the people on this porn board complaining about him put together.

Fuck you guys.

RIP Ted.

Written with a belly full of anger, but understandably so.

As a german, I only read about him seldom, but after all, if any of the guys who share their hatin' of him with us would actually go and do some political work, grass-roots or work in a party, they would know how much work this is.

If they are so proud of America, they should be proud of the multitude of voices that make up your political system.

It's what sets you apart from many other countries, where the parliaments are just a theatre, set up by the countries leaders to keep the masses in the illusion they have a choice. China, as an example, the country that owns so much of America's public debt.

Be proud of the good parts of your country, and proud that they still keep your spirit alive :hatsoff:

You really must be lazy. Any half-ass could do a google search and *discover* that Bill Clinton spent his Vietnam time in England, as a Rhodes Scholar...something basically only the best of the best attain. Russia? Did you pull that out of your bunghole?

Looks like You Might be the lazy one.

If you actually read beyond the first paragraph of those google results you'll learn about how Clinton went to Russia. He avoided several draft notices. Some because he was in England and later ones because he was in Russia (for reasons he's never made clear).

The lesson we have here is...make sure you're not a half-ass yourself before you accuse others of being so.

There are whole libraries dedicated to the ups and downs of Ted ,just about everyone knows the faults and strengths of this man. If you knocked out his biography as a novel it would be dismissed as too far fetched, so it certainly was a life of incident.

For those of you liked him and are proud of your genitals you can christen your privatre parts "the Kennedys." It is a slice of English slang and came about because when you look down at your junk you can see that, "There's Jackie on one side, Bobby on the other and Teddy in the middle with his big head."

I couldn't care less about Kennedy. He certainly wasn't a statesman. What kind of man supports the IRA and thinks he's detached from terrorism? He did more harm to the people of Northern Ireland than he'll ever have realised. I certainly don't imagine he's resting in peace either, if he's not at the pearly gates accounting for the deaths of British servicemen and Irish civilians then he must surely be there for Billy Jo Kopechne, otherwise there can be no God.

He rode on the coattails of his brother's short lived presidency, failing to make the same grade himself years later. I've no time for murderers, alcoholics, liars nor philanderers, all of which he was.

I'm in support of the current Health Bill but I wouldn't like it to go through as some tribute to this piece of work. There's an old adage I believe to be apt for the likes of Edward Moore Kennedy, 'Only the good die young'.

Please stop praising the man for the little good he did and acknowledge the great crimes instead.

The last of of the brothers passes.Teddy fought the good fight, you can only wonder if the other 3 had lived what they could have done and how different the country and world might be.

R.I.P. Teddy:(

Right! I am a avowed Republican, however I adorded JFK. I don't believe the country ever was the same after his murder.

Billy Jo Kopechne? Isn't that the guy who jumped off the Tallahatchee bridge? :1orglaugh

If you are going to make an attempt to lionize someone, at least take the time and trouble to get their name right.

Of course you have the right to your opinion but you are way off base about Senator Kennedy's many great accomplishments.....a great number of which are currently being extolled by a significant roster of his political adversaries who sat across the aisle from him for so many years in the US Senate.

He was, and will always remain, a great statesman who loved his country deeply and gave much to her. Disagree with his politics and take issue with his moral indiscretions all you want but do not even attempt to deny his importance on the landscape of America and the world. He was a giant amongst his contemporaries and will be sorely missed.

Don't forget Clinton. He went to Russia to avoid Vietnam.

So, you're a sloppy writer then? I didn't randomly google anything. I went to an even simpler source...wiki. There is no mention of any trip to Russia to avoid the draft. There is mentioning of an issue with how Clinton avoided the ROTC, but that was cleared up.

Therefore, yes, you'll have to supply me with a link (from a respectable source, not a rightwing wacko basement website) which puts Bill Clinton in Russia to hide out during the Vietnam War. I remember the Clinton presidential campaign because there were the *usual* charges from Republicans about draft dodging, not "fit to command," etc. But he was not a draft dodger.

So, sorry, lazy halfass until proven otherwise....:wave2:

Love him or despise him but no one can deny his place in history. A true statesman. RIP Senator Kennedy. I'm glad your suffering is over.

Very well said, sir. RIP to Senator Kennedy.

In find something interesting. In your response to my *charge* that you're lazy...you never responded with AHA!!! HERE'S THE LINKS.

Apparently, based on your reply, you are using rumor/speculation/basement propaganda as your evidence?:dunno:

I can't believe you are relying on wiki :rofl::rofl:

That is populated by readers. It can be from so wrong to exactly acurate depending on the reader who inputs the info.

And you called him Lazy? :scream:

Considering that this is the wiki of a former president...oh, nevermind.

Sorry to bash so hard, but the only site more inacurate than this site is wiki. Just struck me as funny.

Hey, this is a porno site. It is supposed to be fun.

As much as I disagreed with him and poked fun at his reputed alcoholism I respect him as an influential figure in American politics.

R.I.P. Ted

Setting aside that John and Robert Kennedy were both pieces of garbage also, probably even bigger than Ted Kennedy, Don't you find it ironic that in the paragraph you tell somebody not to put blame on somebody because of an unchosen association it seems like your trying to give somebody credit for that same association.

"Garbage".:dunno:
Ted Kennedy had enough money to stay in the private sector(like JFK JR) & be a playboy or whatever else he so pleased ,but the man saw inequality/injustice & wanted to do something positive for this country he loved. Even if one disagrees with him philosophically it baffles me how one who gave his life to helping others can be considered 'garbage' or 'murderer'(not convicted or even charged).

I thought it would take longer(only 1 single page) before someone would come here making the defaming suggestion that he was a 'murderer'.:(

Ted Kennedy dedicated his life fighting for the less fortunate /powerful(unlike himself)& disenfranchised like you.

RIP old man:hatsoff:

Wikipedia is a decent place to go to get an initial impression of something. But it is not the sole source. It's a good launch spot for researching something, basically.

However, if you look at Bill Clinton's wiki--all the "stuff" is there (the Lewinsky scandal, Impeachment, his time in England protesting against the Vietnam War as a Rhodes Scholar, etc). Basically, it's not a "fluff piece" or merely a polished resume on him.

I truly have never heard of him going to Russia during the Vietnam War. So, any news on that would be news to me. Clinton did face some scrutiny over his draft deferment (the wiki even mentions this), but it was cleared up.:dunno:

Yeah it's SUPPOSED to be fun, but when the discussion devolves into calling the deceased 'murderers'(he was never convicted nor formally accused of anything)it has become 'serious'(Unless you think murder to be frivolous/humorous).

I have never seen the fun in calling innocent/non convicted people 'murderers', 'rapists', 'pedophiles',etc...,:dunno:

What's surprising is that you are even amused that some are a little upset at the 'false' suggestion.
