Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
The small time, street *********** goes to jail for holding a dime bag of pot. But the banker who financed the entire shipment, that supplies every *********** in town, pays a fine???
HSBC will pay a $1.9 billion (of shareholder money) fine to settle charges that it assisted **** lords and criminal organizations in laundering money. But no one at HSBC will face criminal charges for this criminal activity! Premium Link Upgrade And it doesn't end there. Premium Link Upgrade
And today, it was announced that Premium Link Upgrade People do the wrong things that they do, usually for one reason and one reason only: money! When we've had debates on here about subprime mortgages and who was to blame, I've explained that bankers (and others) act on the profit motive. No one in the government ****** a mortgage banker to make $12K in fees for doing a $250K subprime mortgage instead of his standard $2500 for doing the same loan as a prime - just like no one in the government ****** these commercial bankers to make an extra $10 or $20 million in fees for laundering **** cartel money. Don't be naive. They do it for the money!!! Greed!
Until those in positions of financial power are sent to jail when they commit crimes, they will keep doing what they do. Why wouldn't they? The worst that happens now is some patsy/underling gets fired, the bank gets a fine and the fine comes from company (shareholder) money. In this way, Obama's DoJ is no different from Bush's or the DoJ under previous Presidents. And Democrats are no better than Republicans in turning a blind eye toward these crimes against society. The corruption at the top is absolute!
