Twin Peaks

I was planning on watching this series from start to end, not so much because I like David Lynch, but rather because it seems to have a very interesting concept, and many good actors.

But the first episode felt really lukewarm. I mean, it was 1.5 hours long (it's a pilot though) and after like half an hour I lost interest and started surfing porn and news instead.

So before I waste any more time on this series - is it worth it? Will it get any better or is this all there is?

Maybe only die hard David Lynch fans can enjoy it.

Stick with it - the first segments are a bit of a non-event. In fact the whole thing is riddled with the power of suggestions rather than major events - when the plot unfolds you'll be more than aware. There are also later lulls and you might find yourself thinking: am I having the piss taken out of me? at some points. I think it's a really good piece of art.

What the hell? The first 2,3 episodes of Twin Peaks are the best thing that´s ever been shown on tv. If you don´t like those you wont like the rest either (the second season is not as good as the first).

i saw some of it as a youngster but i've always wanted to see the rest of the series...the whole series and movie is in my netflix queue right now :D

If you don't like David Lynch then of course you won't like it. It's not the weirdest thing he's done, but It's not exactly normal either.

I loved the entire first season. Season two became a bit *too* David Lynch for me, and the ending was pure shite

I'll have to look these up, can't remember the ending but it was weird.

Yeah it's either one of those shows that you watch and are like "What the fuck is this", or "I am a hipster poser and I can relate to this stark imagery" or like me "this is ain't no Three Stooges and pash me the bottle of Jaeger, Countrymusic!"

I think its a porn-related reason why the series is named "Twin peaks"...

I watched TP-Fire Walk With Me on DVD-like with Mulholland Drive, no chapters. Gotta watch the whole thing. The strangest part of Fire was Laura talking about Killer Bob and saying something like "He wants to BE me." That would have surprised her dad, boyfriend, etc. Suddenly you're looking at Bob instead of her-then he says "C'mon, gimmee some sugar."

I'm an old-fashioned bloke and I stay loyal to my favourites... porn actresses, singers & bands, and also tv series and characters.

Twin Peaks will always be awesome in my book.

I know that a substantial amount of people think it's utterly weird, like many other stuff from David Lynch, but since there are more questions asked than answers given, I tend to think it's more REAL than many might people.... imagine. ;)

After watching Season 3 'The Return', despite all the questions that remain and/or were raised as new riddles, I'm quite convinced there never will be a Season 4.
Of course also because so many actors have died after that final season.

(And yes, Laura Is The One.)
