Tumblr officially FUCKING SUCKS! Siri's rant.

What will get your tumblr deleted quickly is if you have anything on there that will directly make you money. Especially aff links.

That's what they noted in the email they sent me. Of course I had no idea, and I still find it a little suspect that nobody noticed or seemed to care if I was (unknowingly) breaking tumblr TOS until this past month since it's been owned by yahoo. I've already emailed support to request my blog be reinstated and that I will remove all affiliate links.
One thing I didn't like so much is that tumblr suggested in their email to me that my blog existed for the sole purpose of listing affiliate links. I've only had like 15 affiliate links listed at a time that one would have to seek out - the main focus has always been fan interactions.

Doesn't seem to matter if it's 1 or 50. They're incredibly anal about it. ;-\

At least they send a mail unlike fucking Facebook who just nukes your account without a word.

In my observations any photo/video hosting site or social networking site usually ends up sucking eventually. It's must be some inevitable force the universe operates under. After that people just pick up and move to the new site that's not as bad until that site becomes terrible and the whole process repeats itself.

I guess if Yahoo is trying to clean out any adult material on Tumblr because of how easy it is to access it by under age kids I can support what they are doing, but if they are n't doing it for that reason Tumblr will disappear because porn is one of the biggest pushers on technology and social media sites now. Technology that porn is tied to needs be backed by porn otherwise its rivals will succeeded over them even if the product is worse.

Speaking of making money from data mining, I wonder how many porn stars are getting heavy breathing calls from an unknown/unlisted number from CA? Ya know, what with FaceBook harvesting phone numbers from Android users who *just* install the FaceBook app on their phones. Crazy times we live in...

Reading your post , you have my support too Siri.
Makes you wonder what the sites are actually doing. Do they consider themselves Enforcers of their own Moral Code? Do they trust the people who access the site and find nothing wrong with it meaning they tear down the site anyway????
