Whats up people - (Congrats 4g on keepin that zero). As for the original question - I personally thought superman kicked ass so maybe the tide is turning for comic book movies. Tranformers was a childhood favorite so I hope they do it justice!!!

well i watched it alot when I was a kid so I hope it doesn't dissapoint! It's like video games that got turned into movies for me. Kinda a must see! Haven't seen a good one yet except for resident evil so I expect it to be awsome. Can't recall any toy - movies right off. Usually the toys are made after the movie comes out. But definatly looking forward to it regardless of what people might say about it! Will be interesting to see how it all transfers to real life. Plus with spelberg involved with it, it's almost guaranteed to be at least good! Hell I wanna see how tall a cab of a big rig is when it's standing up!!!

I hadn't even hear of this 'till I saw this thread. I only got to see the original cartoon movie a few years ago. I didn't get to see it when I was a kid, for whatever reason. I wasn't as impressed with it as I might have been if I'd seen it when I was a kid.

that's exactly the way people will review it too! For those of us who had transformers as a kid, it will be good, for those who didn't then not so good! I had them and watched the show so I'm pretty much covered regardless of what they do with the movie!

speaking of optimus, Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus prime in the cartoon series will again be doing the voice for Optimus in the movie. So that'll be a nice touch!

Usually not a fan of Michael Bay movies so he better not screw it up! Transformers, both the cartoon and the movie has always been a favorite of mine. Especially the movie...surprisingly dark (i.e. the death of old favorites, cursing, etc) for what it was.

i cried as a kid when optimus died. wasnt a fan of the autobots, but it was my first taste of a good guy dying. very sad day for me. til this day i cant watch that movie.
