Transformers movie...

Too early to tell at this point.
I know for one thing that the film will be told from the perspectives of humans, not the Robots In Disguise themselves.
Here is what we know so far.
Originally, 6 names where confirmed to appear.
Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave.
However, at the moment only Optimus Prime and Megatron are a 100% confirmed to be in there.
Arcee got dropped really quick because of storyline purposes.

i think seeing as Transformers was originally a toyline (comics and tv show came after the toy) it doesnt matter if it "stays true to the original"
i recon its gona be totally different. Like Gunloc says, its gona be from the human perspective, so its going to add a whole other layer to the Transformers legend...

I absolutely can't wait for this movie. To see the old school Transformers again on the screen in stunning CG makes me hard. Let's just hope that Michael Bay doesn't fuck it up. Let's face it, the guy doesn't really have a great track record. A shining light is that Spielberg is one of the producers.
I did happen to see a sneak photo which I don't think is online anymore of a giant model of a Transformer which was being shot around Hoover Dam. It was yellow and was folded up, most likely in the early transforming stages. Anyway, the photo showed the top of it's head which was a dead ringer for Bumblebee from the cartoon show. From what Bay has said this is going to be as close to the "original" Transformers as can be done. We won't be seeing the newer Transformers like after Prime died in the cartoon movie.
Yeah that trailer, isn't much of a trailer. Don't bother watching it just wait til something that has actual footage in it is released.

i was hoping it wasnt true. i absolutely loved the transformers as a kid. i had all the toys. had all the movies. but its got to be better than the hulk? right?

trailer for the film was great i thought! i was drunk when i saw it, and i completely flipped out and started jumping around.
and for all the people saying it might not be as good as the original show, i REPEAT: Transformers was originally a Toy, not a show, so the story could be very different if they chose not to base anything on the cartoons.

A transformers porn film would be good, but i can see them doing more than anal (exhaust pipe) scenes...oh and muffling
One part of the story I know is that they are searching planets for the last few remaining energon. Low and behold Earth has them so they come here and bring their fight with them. A thing that bothers me is the original voice actors have been contacted to reprise their roles but so far nothing.
