^This.

T3 wasn't very good storywise, but the action was pretty good, but that's all you are going to get.

It was definitely better than the second movie, but that really isn't saying that much. And forget seeing this in 3D.It really doesn't add anything to the movie other than getting a headache.

Overall, this is a *meh* movie that really isn't worth the hype or the continued conversation.

Maybe I should of seen it in 3-d..I bet that would of been even better

Nope, not at all.The 3D is nothing more than a gimmick and rarely adds to any movie.Avatar had the best use of 3D,and that movie sucked too.

3D is two things;a way to inflate ticket prices so that the opening weekends for movies appear to make more money than they should, but most importantly,it's a way to try to prevent piracy.

The other problem with the use of 3D is that while they are primarily in action and animated movies, all it does is promote more gratuitous action to make the 3D worth using, because when people are just sitting there talking, what's the point of having it?

After this weekend,I have forever vowed to never watch a movie in 3D again.I wasn't going to see T3 in 3D,but I read a review that raved about the IMAX,and boy were they off base.

didn't watch the video I take it?

subtlety is lost on the dense

So what's your point? That Bay was reusing footage? Yeah, that's kind of lame, but I was commenting on the movie as a whole as far as story goes.Looks like the obvious is lost on the dense in your case.

the 'obvious' is that everyone knows Transformers is a pile of shit (its synonymous) , hence the obvious tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, you Philistine!!

Wow,I never thought that someone's opinion was an obvious fact.

I liked the first one, hated the second one,and was *meh* about this one,so how does that translate to "everyone knows"?

I love it how people try to use their opinions to try to make things a universal fact.

I hate David Lynch over all other directors, but that doesn't mean that everyone else should, even if I don't agree with it.It just means that I don't understand what anyone else sees in his movies. So just because you don't like any of the Transformers movies, doesn't mean that everyone else should.

Get over yourself.

I took my kid to see it. It was decent. Way better than the second. But the fluffy they cast in it was totally useless.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
The Island had Obi-Wan Kenobi and Scarlett Johansson. I think that automatically makes it better than Transformers 3.

The audience has changed in 25 years. No more "thought provoking films" it's all about CGI action porn and no worthy dialogue.

There are some good films being made, but they're usually under the radar. If anyone still hasn't seen "Winter's Bone" I highly recommend that film.

On the blockbuster side, I do have to say I thought "Inception" was quite good, a return to Nolan's "Memento" roots, as opposed to the uninspiring but extremely well marketed Batman movies. But if he hadn't made billions for the studios with safe tripe, he never would have had the clout to do "Inception", which I found an excellent and inventive caper flick on the surface, but on a deeper level, an interesting meditation on the nature of reality that is strongly in the spirit of Phil K. Dick.

But for every 1 "Inception", you're going to get hundreds of "Transformers". :2 cents:

The Island was shit. Michael Bay has made one good film, The Rock. End of.

"The Rock was very good" I'll also give him credit for the first "Bad Boys". Plus "The Island" at least had a complete story unlike the first two "Transformers" flicks(will wait to see the third one)

Just came back from seeing this movie. loved it. i hated one thing about teh second one...too much story time, not enough action until the last 45 minutes.......this movie was 2 and a half hours, the first 90 minutes split 50/50 in terms of action and everything else, the final hour was 90% action which really was the reason i wanted to see this movie, i wont give anything away, but i know from how it ended this was the final transformers
