I miss the Tanookie Suit from Mario Bro's 3, and the Hammer suit.

Legzman

ah memories...

Zelda...

How many hours of my youth were spent chasing those pieces of the Triforce? :)

The outworld music was bloody annoying though.

A couple months ago I helped a friend move. One of the things he got rid of was his NES, along with about 20 games. To my delight, Zelda was one of the games he had. Needless to say, I spent the next week remembering how to play and what secrets there were, until I got to Gannon's cave. Then the AC adapter went to shit and I couldn't finish it. :bawling:

Ebay is your friend :)

They really built them to last, didn't they? :) (The AC Adapter is always the weak link though)

I'll bet if I dug up my old Nintendo consoles after all these years, they'd still work perfectly.

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
^ Really? Mine crapped out on me like eight years ago...

A very sad day...

But, NESs care so cheap I could probably buy one for next to nothing...

That list kind of sucks. The only one that really deserves to be on there is when you find out Samus is a woman.

^^Still an interesting walk down memory lane though.

If only I'd got hold of that Konami code...my whole life would have been completely different.:)

Yeah, but I'm gonna shell out any cash for a video game I'd like to pay for something that I can at least hook up to my LCD tv. With the NES I need an adapter to do that.

Up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A, start. ;) I think there were only like 3 codes for all NES games. 4, since TMNT2 had a fourth code that let you change characters, or something. :hatsoff:

Contra, that was the game. UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, START = 30 lives. I still pull out my old NES and play it. Ninja Gaiden & Zelda too.

Then what's the one that I have for? I could've sworn that was for Contra. Super C, maybe? :dunno:

Konami were freakin' awesome back in the day.

Taking your catridge, blowing on the pins, banging it, blowing inside the console, finally getting it to work, seeing this image scroll across your screen:

accompanied by that dramatic war music.

These are the priceless memories of youth in the 90s.
