i put this on another board but i am interested in what people say here:

after college, i moved home w/ my parents for a while and got no action. of course i used porn to satisfy myself during this dry spell. months ago i moved out to a big city and really got back in the game again, meeting all types of girls. i realized i had a problem when i found it difficult to get turned on by regular girls b/c they arent as hot as tera patrick or krystal steal or whoever. in addition, it seems that i am having trouble getting excited with my current girlfriend because i have conditioned myself to only get excited by watching porn. i get hard immediatly when i turn on a xxx movie but barely get excited from my girlfriend on top of me. is there a way to reverse this? does anyone else suffer from this as well?

Dude, your creating your own problem and reenforcing it with rational excuses. Your desciption of only being "pretty sure I like this girl" says to me you already have hesitations above and beyond your problem. You have to tell yourself that you want to be turned on by regular women and that they can be just as hot as those pornstars. I hate to say this but cut down on the porn. You need to recondition yourself to regular women. So stop 'spanking the monkey' and start the real f*cking. Change the positions you use, try out different locations, even try sex toys and games. The majority of women are more open than you think. Lastly there's always professional help. The best advice I have for you though, put sex on the back burner and go out and casually date. Don't settle for "pretty sure", find a woman that you truely love and I guarantee that you won't have that problem anymore. :thumbsup:

Before photography, movies, video mass communication, man only saw local village or regional women, among which only a few were beautiful. Now, we are surrounded by images of exceptionally beautiful women and can see the images on demand.... It is a form of spoilage - a way of seeing the world that we have never processed before.

In your case, maybe look at yourself compared to the male performers and actors. How do you compare? What if the women you meet judged you against them the same way?

Krusty, I don't know about you but to me the allure of porn is more about these chicks doing outrageously kinky acts in a savagely animalistic way than it is about how hot they are.
