International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on March 8 every year. I'll bet most of you didn't even know it existed. The first IWD was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America.
These two links are an interesting read I think for those who want to learn more about it. Spare me the "Wheres the International Men's Day" whiney baby stuff too. We have struggled in this mans world since the beginning of time and still do. Its deserved.
