Has anyone in here heard any news about it yet? Is it any better than the WWE video games? I've been collecting the WWE/WWF games for years and was just wondering how this new TNA compares.

It comes out in a few weeks but I couldn't tell you if it's really good. I've seen a video of AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe on Xbox Live and it looked pretty good. I would say it's on par with the Smackdown! vs. RAW games and I might rent it when it's released.

I think you mean No Mercy. Yes, wrestling games were the best when they were on N64. Don't forget WCW World Tour and WCW/NWO Revenge. I still have those games.
yea i guess it was No Mercy. i couldn't remember, i am actually looking on Ebay for a cheap N64 so i can get those wrestling games again.
i had a converter for the system and bought a release of i think it was the
first WCW game but it was Japanese released and had all the japanese wrestlers and mexican wrestlers in the game.the whole game was in japanese but there were like 60-75 extra wrestlers than the original game

Nice to see something different from the current WWE games, which have become stale over the past few years.
This game does look pretty fun, and it will be nice to have something else from the smackdown vs raw games.

Anyone played it yet? IMO, while it's not the worst wrestling game I've played, I just hoped the sequel is a lot better (if they make one of course).
i want to rent it but i am playing Soooo many games right now (nhl09,force unleashed,ncaa09 and still trying to get to Mass Effect)
is it easy to get a handle on the controls?
I'm going to try and rent it. I almost bought it but I remembered Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was coming out the very next week so I held off.
The controls are okay. I was able to handle them while drunk, so that's a good sign!
It has a long way to go before it competes with WWE games. I just hope a sequel does come out in the future.
Rented it Friday afternoon for PS2. Only got to play for about an hour and its ok. Ultimate X match was fun. Took me some time to figure it out as the fucking retards at the store didnt give me the instruction manual so I had to learn the moves on the fly. I got most of it down now.
I heard there was no championship belts in the game. I wont play a wrestling game if i can't have championship matches!
